In the film Bite Me, we are following the eradication of malaria trough the use of genetically modified mosquito’s in Burkina Faso.
At the moment, due to COVID-19, the project is at a standstill. But here you can already enjoy snippets of what we filmed in the summer of 2019. You can also read how our visit was covered by The Guardian, El Pais and The Volkskrant, amongst others.
We hope to continue soon and in the mean time wish everybody health and peace.
And we hope the eyes of the post Covid world are opened and we need to act on this disease that costs lives, economic growth and politic stability. Malaria is still a deadly disease. Hurray to the unsong heroes that fight for years to erredicate it.
